Great news for all Serena Williams fans around the globe. As TMZ reports, the 35-year-old tennis star took to Snapchat on Wednesday to announce that she was pregnant showing off her baby bump.
The news of Serena Williams’ engagement to Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, 33, shocked her fan-base back in 2016, but now the word on the street (more likely online) is that the two lovebirds are expecting their first child together.
The Expecting Champion
Serena is 5 months pregnant, which means she won Australian Open 2017 at around eight weeks, defeating her sister, Venus Williams, 6-4, 6-4 in just 82 minutes. The match took place in Melbourne on January 28.
Pretty awesome and impressive.
This victory secured her comeback to world No 1 spot and moved her ahead of Steffi Graf‘s total of 22 grand slam titles, while she also became the oldest grand slam winner in the open era.
In her Snapchat post, Williams wore a yellow swimsuit and showed off her little baby bump. However, she deleted the post soon after (as almost all Snapchat celebrity users do), but a source close to the tennis icon confirmed the news to TMZ.
Her reps are yet to confirm she is expecting, though.
Popping The Question
Her future husband, Alexis, proposed to Serena in late December, around four weeks into her pregnancy. He popped the question and flashed a huge diamond ring, which she later showed off on social media.
Serena and Alexis had been dating for only 15 months before he proposed. She previously dated rapper Drake.
